Do good, sleep well

Bunks at Rode is a part of the Anker Foundation. Our story started in the early 1970s with an important mission: to improve the student housing conditions in Oslo. To this day we fulfill our purpose and continue to create affordable housing that students can call home.

We continuously work on creating better living conditions, working conditions for our employees  and contribute to positive change in our local areas.

All profit from commercial initiatives are reinvested into the foundation to maintain and develop more student housing in Oslo. Read more about sustainability in the Anker Foundation

Share your input on our climate and environmental efforts

Bunks at Rode want to contribute to a more sustainable world and will therefore take responsibility for our impact. An important part of our efforts is to be Eco-Lighthouse certified. This means that we have established an environmental management system that guides our climate and environmental work and helps us to improve continuously. The certification also contains specific requirements for the following topics: work health and safety, waste/reuse, energy, procurement, and transport. Every year, we report activity data which results in a greenhouse gas account, as well as results and statistics. This information provides a good overview of progress and potential for improvement, and is made publicly available.

In short, our objectives are:

  • We will reduce energy input (energy use) and our CO₂ footprint to a minimum, both in ongoing operations and in projects

  • Our waste and materials management will contribute to recycling, both in ongoing operations and in projects

  • Bunks at Rode aim to be a safe workplace and provide employees with opportunities for development and involvement
