Chocolate Factory
This dorm is inspired by the building’s sweet past as a chocolate factory. Some say you can still catch a hint of cocoa in the hallways…
Every corner is a little nod to its chocolatey history, with creamy tones, mocha hues and just the right amount of sweetness.
No chocolate included with your stay, unfortunately.

Imagine finding a secret garden tucked away from the rest of the world. Surrounded by lush greenery, wild blooms and the feeling that you’ve discovered somewhere you probably weren’t supposed to.
That’s kinda what we’re trying to recreate here. Just with bunk beds instead of garden paths.

Don’t even worry. Stay safe in our clean, modern and social media friendly hostel. Our shared bathrooms are equipped with all your essentials: Shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, hair dryers and well lit mirrors.

Choose between our single or double bunks.
All bunk beds have blackout curtains, LED dimmable lighting, outlets and a locker.

Social Spaces
Social Lounge
The Social Lounge is the main hangout space at Bunks at Rode. Come here to meet other guests, relax between activities, or simply have a quiet break.
The lounge has comfortable seating, microwaves, Quookers for hot water, kitchen utensils and cutlery you can use during your stay. There are also pink fridges for storing your food and a recycling station.

Barception
The Barception is our bar and reception area, and a natural place to meet other guests. Grab a drink, pick up a snack, or sit down and hang out for a while.
We serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with comfortable seating where you can relax and chat. Our Social Club hosts are around to help you find your way around Bunks and let you know what’s happening.
The Cinema Room
Our Cinema Room is made for movie nights, karaoke and private events. Join one of our weekly movie or karaoke nights, or book the room for your own private screening or movie marathon.
The Cinema Room is free to use for all Bunks guests.
The Rooftop Terrace
The Rooftop Terrace is one of the best places to hang out in the summer season. From here, you get views across Oslo and the city skyline.
Come up for a coffee, watch the sunset, meet friends or just enjoy some fresh air. There’s plenty of seating, making it an easy place to spend some time during your stay.

“Woow! Defo one of the best hostels I ever stayed!!! Dorms are super nice - cozy and spacious! “I love the rooftop!!! Lovely place enjoy the sunset!
I was so surprised that the high hygiene especially the share washroom. It's provided hairdryer and shampoo that not usual hostel will do.
The location a bit far away from centre but don't worriy it located in a safe area. The ground there's a supermarket and next to it is a chocolate factory! Smell so good lol” - tse via Google Reviews

“I spend 3 nights there late june 2024 and I really enjoyed the place. The staff make you feel welcome and is always up for a chat. Special mention to Sara and Chloe for always being full of energy and ready to help.
the social area is not equipped for preparing food but you can find a kettle, cutlery and plates and finally a fridge.
The locker in the rooms are pretty spacious and are closed with your key cards.
